Braised Oxtail
Fall-off-the-bone tender oxtail braised in rich bone broth. This gelatinous cut becomes incredibly succulent with long, slow cooking.

Instructions

Season oxtail pieces generously with salt. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Heat beef tallow in a Dutch oven over high heat. Sear oxtails in batches until deeply browned on all sides.

Return all oxtails to pot. Add bone broth - it should come halfway up the meat.

Cover and braise in a 300°F oven for 3-3.5 hours until meat is falling off the bone.

Remove lid for final 30 minutes to reduce sauce. Skim fat if desired. Serve with braising liquid.
