Classic Ribeye Steak
A perfectly seared ribeye with a beautiful crust on the outside and juicy, tender meat inside. This simple yet impressive dish is the cornerstone of carnivore cooking.

Remove the ribeye from the refrigerator 45 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.

Pat the steak completely dry with paper towels and season generously with salt on both sides.

Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until smoking. Add the steak and sear for 4 minutes without moving.

Flip the steak and add butter and thyme to the pan. Baste the steak with melted butter for 3-4 minutes.

Remove from heat when internal temperature reaches 130°F for medium-rare. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
